Create an Activity/Event in Onsight Pro

Activity templates are reusable blueprints for classes, events, camps, programs, and other scheduled activities. Once a template is created, it can be published for specific dates and times.

Before you begin

You must have permission to access Activity Schedule settings. Activity Schedule permissions are enabled for the Administrator role by default, but they may also be added to custom staff roles.

You may also want to create an Activity Category before creating the activity. Categories help staff organize activities into groups such as Events, Camps, Instruction, Youth Programs, or Group Classes.

Create an activity category

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under Activity Schedule, select Activity Categories.
  3. Select + New Category.
  4. Enter the category name.
  5. Save the category.

Create the activity

  1. Go to Settings → Activity Schedule → Activities.
  2. Select + New Activity.

  1. Under Activity Basics, enter the following information:
    • Activity name
    • Activity category
    • Description
    • Available facilities
    • Payment mode

The description entered here may be shown to customers when they view the activity online, so include the most important participation details.

Select a payment mode

Choose how the activity will be funded:

  • Attendee Pays: Each participant pays individually.
  • Host Pays: One person pays for the full group or reservation.
  • Free: No payment is required.

Depending on the selected payment mode, additional configuration may include membership eligibility, punch cards, one-time pricing, revenue accounts, tax rates, discounts, flat-rate host pricing, or per-person host pricing. The existing template workflow supports payment configuration as part of the activity setup.

Configure policies and requirements

Add any requirements that customers must complete before participating, such as:

  • Waivers
  • Participation policies
  • Facility-specific requirements

Set the activity status

Complete the Activity State section and set the activity to Active when it is ready to be published.

An activity template is not displayed on the Activity Schedule until it has been published.

  1. Review the activity details.
  2. Save the activity by clicking Done.

After the activity is created, you can click the eye icon in the activity list to review its facility settings, accepted payment types, pricing, revenue configuration, policies, and requirements before publishing it.
