Navigating the Customers Screen in Onsight Pro: Features and Actions Explained

The Customers screen is your central hub for looking up customer information, managing profiles, and taking action on individual accounts. If you are familiar with Rock Gym Pro, this screen is the equivalent of Data Entry.

Getting to the Customers Screen

The left-hand navigation bar runs along the left side of your screen and contains icon-based links to each area of Onsight Pro. The Customers screen is the person icon at the top of the nav bar.

If you are unsure what an icon represents, click it to expand the nav bar and display labels alongside each icon.

What You Will See

When you open the Customers screen, you will see a search field at the top and a list of customer records below it.

Action Icons

Each customer record in the list has a row of icons on the right side. From left to right, these are:

Icon

Action

Eye

View the full customer profile (memberships, billing, documents, activity)

Document with arrow

Request a waiver for this customer

Clock

View customer history (a log of changes to the record)

Pencil

Edit core profile information (name, address, birthday, contact info)

Merge arrows

Merge this customer with another record

Trash

Delete this customer

View vs. Edit: These are two separate interfaces in Onsight Pro. Use Edit to update basic contact information. Use View to access memberships, billing, documents, activity history, and other configuration. If you are not sure which one you need, start with View.

The New Customer Button

A New Customer button appears in the top-right corner of the Customers screen. This button also exists in other areas of the software, including the point of sale screen. Clicking it from any location opens the same customer creation form.

To the right of the search field is an Advanced Search button. This expands additional search options including:

  • Notes

  • Customers added within a specific date range

For most day-to-day lookups you will not need this, but it is available when a standard name or contact search is not enough.

Migrating from Rock Gym Pro?

The Customers screen is the equivalent of Data Entry in Rock Gym Pro. The core purpose is the same — look up customers, view their information, and take action on their accounts — but the layout and navigation are different. Actions that were grouped together in Data Entry are now accessible through individual icons on each customer row. The Settings screen (wrench icon, bottom of the nav bar) replaces Data Entry > Manage Settings.
