Option Sets are predefined groups of related product subcategories or attributes that can be assigned to multiple products in your Onsight Pro database. They help you standardize and streamline how you manage product variations without having to manually re-enter the same information for each individual product.
Why Use Option Sets?
Many products share similar customizable choices, for example:
A clothing that comes in multiple sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL)
A shoe collection that shares the same size range (EU Size 27-34, US-Mens 6-10, etc)
Instead of entering “Small, Medium, Large” or “Black, Brown, White” for every single item, you can create one Option Set (like Clothing Sizes or Color Choices) and apply it to any relevant product.
In the example below, you'll see how to create a clothing size Option Set.
1. Click on the Settings (🔧) icon.

2. Click "Manage Option Sets" under Products.

3. Click "Add Option Set" button in the top right corner.

4. Type the name of the Option Set you'd like to create. This will appear as a choice to select when creating products. In the example below, we'll be using Clothing Sizing.

5. Enter text into the field below "Option 1". To create more options, click the "Add Option Set" button.

6. After adding all the subcategories of your Option Set, click the "Add" button to finish. The choice will now be present when creating a product.

Option Sets at the product level can be adjusted without changing the entire Option Set created. The tool is designed for:
Consistency: Ensures uniform option naming and structure across your catalog.
Efficiency: Reduces repetitive data entry.
Scalability: Makes it easier to manage large product databases with shared attributes.
Flexibility: Allows different products to share or reuse sets of options without duplication.
